9th April 2012: I'm in the process of launching The Vintage Vogue eBay Shop at http://stores.ebay.co.uk/vintagevogueuk . It'll be ready in a week or two. I'll be offering one or two very exclusive vintage clothing and accessories items each month, including vintage shoes, vintage handbags and vintage Jewellery.
4th April 2012: I received a call from the BBC today. The episode of BBC One's "Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is", featuring Jonty Hearndon and me in Vintage Vogue is being aired on Monday 23rd April 2012. Click here for details.
I recently met Kim-Lin Hooper. Kim-Lin organises wonderful "Charleston" themed events, parties and hen nights. We're planning on doing some exciting stuff together. You can find out more about Charleston Dance over at http://www.charlestondance.co.uk
Great fun! I've spent the day with the BBC filming in my shop. The thoroughly wonderful Jonty Hearndon turned up with an item for sale for an episode of BBC One's "Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is".
Did I buy the item? Did he make a profit on the item? Did I make a profit? Did he win? To find out you'll have to watch the episode when it's shown on BBC One in 2012. No scheduled date for airing of the episode, but I'll keep you updated.
The launch of Vintage Vogue was very exciting. I'm thoroughly delighted that The Mayor and Mayoress of Wallingford, accepted my invitation to officially open "Vintage Vogue" in the The Lamb Arcade on Sunday 4th December 2011.
The Mayor and Mayoress of Wallingford, Councillor Colin Dolton and Mrs Sandie Clemas, have set aside time during their busy schedule at the Annual Wallingford Christmas Event, to cut the Red Ribbon to mark the official opening of Vintage Vogue. The opening will take place at 12.30pm
Okay, so that's the Official announcement... here's the Personal version...
WOW! My little shop is being Officially Opened by Councillor Colin Dolton and Mrs Sandie Clemas, The Mayor and Mayoress of Wallingford. That's incredible, and I'm so excited! You can bet that I'll be getting a professional to make the Cucumber Sandwiches now. :)
Kayleigh, my daughter, is still in charge of the home baked cupcakes, but is insisting on the highest quality ingredients now she knows "that The Mayor and Mayoress are coming to mummies shop."
Just for the record, Jamie is simply worried that he's not going to be able to play football on Sunday :)
Best wishes - Paula
You're invited and most welcome to join me for the Grand Opening of my Vintage Vogue Shop in The Lamb Arcade, Wallingford, Oxfordshire. It's taking place on Sunday 4th December. This coincides with the Annual Wallingford Christmas Event, which takes place between 11am - 4.30pm
The Wallingford Christmas Shopping Event has most of the independent shops opening for the day.
Aside from my own Grand Opening, the Wallingford Christmas Shopping Event is great fun for all of the family. There is Children's entertainment, the Farmers Market and... Wallingford's Town Mayor will be turning on the Christmas Tree Lights at 4pm.
Rumour has it that local celebrity 'Wishy' will be making appearance!
But the highlight of the whole day for me, is that my friends and family are all bringing home-made 'Cucumber Sandwiches' for everyone to enjoy at my Grand Opening. If you're early enough, you may even enjoy some of my daughter's home baking.
I do hope to see you there.
Best wishes - Paula
Boys Will Be Boys:
My wonderful husband and my brother are busy working on Vintage Vogue online. Between the two of them I already have an eBay Shop and a PayPal Business Account ready and in place for my expansion plans for 2012.
Vintage Vogue on twitter:
I now have a twitter account. You can follow me on twitter.com/ukvintagevogue - Most of this online stuff goes over my head, but I'm keen to learn and keen to share what I'm up too.
